Commission Modifiers

Commission Modifiers module is available on the following platforms:

To set up your first Commission Modifier, visit this page. There are three types of modifiers:

  • Product-based commission
  • SKU-based commission
  • Bonus for high sale value

Check out our video tutorial, or keep reading our article for an in-depth description of Commission Modifiers setup:

Product-based commission

You can set it as a  fixed rate per item (flat amount for each item in the sale), or a percent from item total value (for 100$ item, a 25% commission modifier would result in additional 25$ worth of commission for every sold item)

To create a product-based modifier, simply select the product, the modifier's type, and its value.

NOTE:

The modifier works differently with each type of base commission (the one set up in the program's settings):

  • Percent from sale: Commission for the sale will not include the value of a product with the modifier.

EXAMPLE: Program reward is set to 10% of the sale's value. The sale contains one item of total value 80$ and one with a total value of 20$, but with a product-based commission set to 5$. The sale commission will be 13$ (10% from 80$ basic commission, and 5$ product based commission).

  • Flat rate per sale: The modifier will work as a bonus for the sale of a given product.

EXAMPLE: Partner reward is set 10$ per sale. The sale contains one product with the product-based commission set to 5$. The partner commission will be 15$.

SKU-based commission

It works similar to a product-based modifier but applies for a wider range of products, e.g., a specific products catalogue.

To set it up, type in the SKU (separated by a comma), choose the modifier's type, and its value.

NOTE

The modifier works differently with each type of base commission (the one set up in the program's settings):

  • Percent from sale: Commission for the sale will not include the value of products with the SKU modifier.

EXAMPLE: Program reward is set to 10% of the sale's value. The sale contains one item of total value 80$ and one with a total value of 20$, but with an SKU commission set to 5$. The sale commission will be 13$ (10% from 80$ basic commission, and 5$ SKU-based commission).

  • Flat rate per sale: The modifier will work as a bonus for the sale of the given products.

EXAMPLE: Partner reward is set 10$ per sale. The sale contains one product with the SKU commission set to 5$. The partner commission will be 15$.

Bonus for high sale value

It can be either a fixed amount (bonus will be added to the sale's base commission in your shop currency once its value exceeds a certain value, e.g., 5$ for sales above 100$) or a percent bonus (bonus is calculated from the value determined by 'Partner commission calculation strategy'. It then gets added to the base sale commission in your shop's currency, e.g.,  10% for sales above 100$ means a 20$ bonus for an sale worth 200$.

To add the bonus, specify the minimal price and select its type and value.

NOTE:

In case you set up multiple bonuses, each of them will apply once the minimum price requirement is met.

EXAMPLE: With two bonuses, 5$ for minimum 50$ sale and 10$ for minimum 100$ sale, the bonus will be 15$ for if the sale's total price is at least 100$.
