SendGrid

If you're interested in sending GrowthHero notification emails from your domain, this article is for you. SendGrid is a customer communication platform for transactional and marketing email. Once you finish the integration process, every email will be sent from your verified domain. Take in mind that you will need access to your DNS host to complete the process.

Step 1: Create a SendGrid account

To create your account, go to https://signup.sendgrid.com/ and fill out the forms. Once you set your username and password, you will need to provide a bit more details about you and your company. Please make sure you've filled all the forms with red dots as you won't be able to proceed without answering them.

Step 2: Verify your account

 A confirmation email will be sent to your declared email address. You should verify it quickly as your account will be limited unless you confirm it. It is a precaution against spam accounts.

Step 3: Choose your plan

Once verified, choose your plan at https://app.sendgrid.com/account/billing/choose_plan.
Please note that you can use a free plan and still be able to integrate with our app.

Step 4: Authenticate your domain

This is the most complicated step; however, it is necessary to prove email providers that SendGrid sends nothing without your knowledge and permission. To begin, go here. Once you're there, you need to finish Domain Authentication. We strongly recommend you to read this article and watch the video tutorial on how to get everything done properly.

Step 5: Create an API key

To integrate with GrowthHero, you have to create an API key. To do that, visit https://app.sendgrid.com/settings/api_keys and click "Create API Key". You can name your key whatever you want, but we recommend calling it "GrowthHero.io". The real API key will be shown once you create it.

Please copy and save your API key somewhere safe, as you'll need it to finish integration in our app.

Step 6: Integration

Go here and paste your API key in the dedicated form. Then, determine the name and verified domain that you would send your emails from. Once you finish, check the box next to Enabled, click update, and voilà! You've successfully integrated SendGrid with GrowthHero!
