Main Platfrom Set-Up

This article will show you the very first steps of using GrowthHero's standalone version.

This is only for Main Platform accounts. If your account is Shopify / BigCommerce, this setup is not necessary.

Step 1: Choose sign-up method

To start using our app with your website, simply visit our site, and click the Sign-up Free button. You will be prompted to choose the sign-up method; for the standalone version, please choose Email & Password.

Step 2: Create and verify your account

Provide the required information, such as your website URL, email address, and set up a password. Once you click Start your subscription, an email with a verification link will be sent to your inbox. Please follow the link from the email to verify your account.

Step 3: Onboarding

In just 3 easy steps, you will be able to launch your first affiliate program and determine its most important settings, eg., the commission rules, and payouts. Don't worry, you can change them all once you're done.

  • Introduce your brand

First, choose your name and URLs slug. On this page, you can also add your website's logo and choose the app's main color - we strongly disadvise using white as your main color as it may make some texts and buttons invisible.

  • Setup your affiliate program

In GrowthHero your Partners (affiliates) are divided into Programs. Here, you can adjust settings for your first affiliate program.

Affiliate Incentive is a commission that your Partner will get from each referred sale. It can be either set as a percentage of the sale's value or as a set value per sale; all commissions will go to your Partner's Balance.

We strongly recommend enabling additional options, such as multi-level marketing and PayPal Payouts.

  • Partner Activation

Once you're finished with setting up your programs, you can go ahead and activate your first partner! Once they're added, their affiliate link will also be automatically generated. Feel free to share it with your first affiliate.

Step 4: Automate Sales tracking

Grab your API key and get started with integrating GrowthHero into your existing workflow. You can use GrowthHero's API to create and track sales and conversions.

To start tracking your referral links and engagements, you need to install the GrowthHero pixel script onto your website. The script will automatically start searching for referral links on the website and send it to GrowthHero. Google Tag Manager is another way of implementing the JS snippet inside your website and tracking referral links. You can set up both of these tracking methods in Settings.

Step 5: Integrate with Zapier

Zapier is a tool that lets you integrate your GrowthHero app with Gmail, Google Documents, text messages, and many other apps provided by Zapier. For standalone users, this integration allows tracking sales and conversions; it can additionally automate workflows, such as generating and sending an invoice to an affiliate after a payout is processed.

Step 6: Knowledge Base

This is your biggest source of information. Here, you can browse through over 40 posts related which will lead you through the app's basics, setting your affiliate program, and customizing the tools to match your business's image. You will also find descriptions of our optimization tools, details of how sales and payments work, and guides about the integrations we provide.
